What is Therapeutic Yoga, as experienced through the Phoenix Rising method?
This particular approach to yoga offers an opportunity to deepen self-awareness and presence through mindful, embodied breath and movement, allowing the space to accept and understand yourself more fully. You’ll be guided and encouraged to explore areas within yourself to identify where you may benefit from change, growth, and healing to strengthen your mind/body/emotional/spiritual connection. Sometimes something very profound will show up in a class, and sometimes it will happen over a series of classes. But there is no rush in experiencing yourself. There is lots of body-wisdom to unveil, providing the chance to make meaningful life applications!
Classes will start with a warm-up then progress through intention setting, a gentle to moderate practice, guided self-inquiry focusing on a particular theme, closing with meditation.
-Bring a mat, an open mind, and a journal if you wish to note anything at the end of class.
