Pranayama Physiology w/Chris De Vilbiss

Discover a seated hatha yoga practice called prana-ayama (regulation of your mind/energy). Become masterful at detecting the fight-flight mechanism within you AND the rest-digest mechanism within your nervous system. You will learn 3 or 4 different breathing patterns in this short course and immediately be able to apply them in your life to achieve even deeper clarity on your priorities, your emotions, and your patterns of thinking. All levels of yoga practitioner are invited. The exact curriculum for this class will depend on participants level of experience, but everyone will take their understanding of breath-mind connection to the next level. Breathing practice is a very individual experience, and everyone will receive useful feedback and observation on their personal seated breathing practice (note no prior seated breathing practice is required to participate). A word from Yogi Chris...

My teachers are everything and I would not be here without them. I grew up in Maryland and I went to Oklahoma to wrestle in university. Afterwards I learned yoga in order to release tension and re-design my self-image. During my PhD at the University of Florida I began to teach yoga. It was easy since I’d taught wrestling and engineering for years. I traveled for work and so I taught where I traveled to. Fall Equinox - Balance & Restore

Come honor the rhythms of fall, in this special 90 minute class. As we enter into the fall season, we want to ensure our energy stays well balanced.

Intro to Energy Healing & Thai Massage

She received her Advanced Reiki and Reiki Master Certification with Julie Brent in Fairhope, AL. Jen is passionate about sharing yoga with everyone of all ages and working privately with people who have injuries and help them work through physical challenges.

QiGong & Bollywood

For the 1 yr anniversary of Vibrations Yoga, we are hosting a donation drive, organized by the team, “Helping Hands - Kids helping Kids!” This is a group of sweet, selfless kids, raising money to help a young schoolmate with a type of cancer called T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. Together, we will help to support 7 year old Devan Willis, a local student at Gulf Shores Elementary, AL. 

Representing “Team Helping Hands - Kids helping Kids!” is the fascinating and ever-glistening Adwiti! Come out for a fun-filled evening with cultural flavor! Adwiti will guide us through an ancient Chinese healing art called QiGong. Qi is pronounced chee and which means life force or vital-energy that flows through all things in the Universe. Gong, (pronounced gung) means steady practice. Together, Qigong (Chi Kung) means cultivating energy, for health maintenance, healing and increasing vitality.

Then we’ll dip into some serious fun with some cool Bollywood dancing!!!

You don’t want to miss this class!!! Free to public, donations welcome.

Walking Meditation & Earth Class

This is a 2 hour experience. We'll leave the studio in silence, and mindfully walk to the park pavilion on Foley's beautiful pedestrian path. There, we will have an outdoor yoga class, soaking up our beautiful surroundings. Following the yoga class, we will return to the studio, again mindfully walking and experiencing a deep awareness of our surroundings.
